RAWALPINDI: A woman was beaten with stick, mop, and floor wiper by her in-laws in precincts of New Town police station.
Anmol Usman told the police that her husband’s elder brothers, Naveed and Adeel, lived in the same house on first and second floors respectively with her along with her father-in-law, Zaheer.
One day, Zaheer came to the victim and angrily said that her parents should not come to the house and she should not go to visit her parents either.
He started abusing her and struck her with a wiper. Meanwhile, the brothers also came down and joined their father. Naveed also beat her with stick and mop while Adeel went ahead and tore her clothes.
Meanwhile, the victim’s mother also arrived at the scene who was held by Adeel and beaten with a wiper by Naveed. Police have registered a case and started investigation.
