Pakistan beat India to win Asian Team Snooker Championship

Babar Masih and Zulfiqar Qadir put up a good show during critical moments of the game to lift winning trophy

KARACHI: Pakistan clinched ACBS Asian Team Snooker Championship by defeating India on Friday in Doha, reported Radio Pakistan.



Babar Masih and Zulfiqar Qadir of Team Pakistan-2 defeated Pankaj Advani, Laxman Rawat and Aditya Mehta of Team India-1 in the deciding frame to claim the winners’ trophy.



The Men in Green put up a good show against the rivals during the critical moments of the game to lift the winning trophy, with Qadir also taking home the gold medal.

Pakistan win two medals in Asian 6-Red Championship

Previously, Pakistan’s Muhammad Bilal, Babar Masih and Asjad Iqbal made it to the ACBS Asian Men Snooker Championship 2019 pre quarter-finals in Doha.

Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association manager Naveed Kapadia believed that the country would win at least one medal at the event.

“Our players have performed really well,” Kapadia told The Express Tribune earlier this month.
