LAHORE ': Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on Friday thanked Afghan President Ashraf Ghani for his visit to Pakistan as he saw the dignitary off at Lahore airport on conclusion of his two-day visit.

On the occasion, Buzdar said it was a great pleasure for him to act as Ghani’s host in Lahore.  “Your visit will pave way for improving Pakistan-Afghan relations. Pakistan and Afghanistan are brotherly countries which share common values,” he said.

Punjab CM, who earlier also held a meeting with Ghani, said relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan have tremendously improved during the government of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Buzdar also presented Ashraf Ghani a photo album of his visit to Lahore. The Afghan president saw all the photos and thanked Buzdar for his ‘remarkable’ hospitality.

“I have had an immense admiration and love for Lahore. I thank you all for the remarkable hospitality. This album is a memorable gift for me. Your team has prepared this with great love.  I am taking back with me some very good memories from Lahore,” he added.
