ATC issues arrest warrants for seven accused in PSP attack
IO submits challan against accused who had killed two PSP workers, injured two others
KARACHI:
A special anti-terrorism court issued arrest warrants on Friday for seven accused, including Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) founder, in the murder case of two Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) workers. Copies of the case were given to the accused. The seven accused on the run, include MQM-London's Asif Hasnain Pasha and Bisma Naz.
The investigation officer (IO) had already submitted the case challan in the court and the accused were given the copies of the case. The court adjourned the hearing till July 19 when the process of declaring the accused 'absconders' will be carried out.

According to police, nine people have been arrested in the case, including Raza Ali alias Soldier, Qazi Anis alias Captain, Waqas, Shehryar alias Sherry and Mohsin Ahmed alias Shah Jee. The accused attacked PSP's town office in the limits of Rizvia Police Station on December 23, 2018.
PSP town general-secretary Naeem and union council in-charge Azhar alias Saiyan were killed in the attack while two other workers were injured. During interrogation, the accused confessed that the attack was carried out on the directives of MQM founder.
Terrorists residing in South Africa facilitated the attack. The case against the accused was registered at Rizvia Town Police Station.
