KARACHI: Adviser to the Chief Minister on Information, Law and Anti-Corruption Barrister Murtaza Wahab distributed cheques among the underprivileged at Peoples Secretariat on Friday.

The Sindh government spokesperson distributed cheques on behalf of the Pakistan Peoples Party Minorities Wing in connection with the 66th birth anniversary of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.

"We should help marginalised people raise their standard of living," said Wahab. He opined that the rights of minorities should be protected, empowering them socially, politically and economically.

While he commended PPP Chairperson Bilawal for taking forward Benazir's vision of prosperity for every Pakistan, Wahab also took jibes at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders. According to him, PTI leaders were 'champions' of accusation and blame games. He claimed they lack political and legal insight.

Referring to Shehryar Afridi's address, Wahab said that the statement reflected the 'indecent low mentality' of the PTI and alleged that their claims of ending drug use were false as the nation knows who uses drugs.
