While Kartik and Dhadak's Janhvi have been confirmed, everyone is wondering who the third actor will be in Dostana 2 as it has not yet been announced.
According to Karan's tweet, he will soon be launching "a suitable boy" who will be a fresh face.

Karan also confirmed in an interview that Kartik and Janhvi will be a part of Dostana 2, making it the first time the Luka Chuppi actor will be collaborating with Dharma Productions.
"I am excited to take the Dostana franchise forward with Kartik and Janhvi, and can’t wait to create some desi boy-girl madness with them," the producer told Times of India.
Fans were teased only a few days ago after a cryptic video on social media which hinted at the announcement of Dostana 2.
He wrote, "Got a ring to it, doesn't it? You know what it is! Stay tuned and watch this space - announcement coming your way tomorrow!"

Before Kartik and Janhvi, many other actors were rumoured to be in talks for the lead roles in Dostana 2, including Alia Bhatt, John Abraham and Rajkummar Rao. However, in January this year, Karan rubbished the reports and clarified on Twitter saying that, "No one has been officially approached for Dostana 2. Some thoughts and ideas are underway but nothing official has moved."

Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, Dostana featured John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan as two straight men who pretend to be gay in order to share an apartment with Bollywood starlet Priyanka Chopra. However, both of them ended up falling in love with her.
