New fiscal year: Rs4.5b budget for Shikarpur
Nearly Rs60 million has been allocated to reopen closed schools and Rs10 million to buy furniture for them.

The administrator and DCO of Shikarpur, Dr Saeed Ahmad Manghnaijo, presented a Rs4.5 billion budget for the district for the year 2011-12 on Thursday. Nearly Rs60 million has been allocated to reopen closed schools and Rs10 million to buy furniture for them. Also, Rs20.4 million has been earmarked to buy medicines and Rs2.4 million for anti-rabies vaccines. For development schemes, Rs1.2 billion has been allocated, and one million rupees will go to sports and one million rupees to cultural activities.
