Immigration: Bottlenecks at airport security

KARACHI: International passengers have claimed that they wait for hours, for their turn at the immigration counter at the Jinnah International Airport. The airport authorities said that the FIA is short of staff. There are about 900 passengers at once on the counter if two jumbo jets are departing at the same time, causing long queues. A spokesman from the Civil Aviation Authority said that they have informed the deputy and additional director of the FIA, but no concrete steps have been taken so far.
