KARACHI: Two men drowned in the sea near Gadani Beach while bathing on Sunday morning. Their bodies were initially shifted to Gadani Civil Hospital by Edhi Marine Ambulance Service and later brought to Karachi.

The deceased have been identified as 35-year-old Syed Muhammad Ibrahim, son of Syed Khuwaja, and 30-year-old Syed Saad Ahmed, son of Abdur Rauf. Ibrahim was a resident of Al-Azam Square, Liaquatabad and Saad Ahmed was a resident of Gulberg in Karachi.

Ibrahim's brother told The Express Tribune that both the deceased were employees at the city court. Ibrahim worked in the IT department in the Central district's court and Saad Ahmed was a junior clerk in the additional session judge's court number 5.

He said that his brother went for a picnic to Gadani Beach with his friends on Saturday night. Saad was drowning in the sea so his brother tried to save him but both of them drowned. Ibrahim has two kids, he added.
