PESHAWAR: Unseeded Abbas Nawaz of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) stormed into the second round of the ongoing Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Under-19 Junior Squash Championship on Thursday along with seven others. Nawaz, a fourth qualifier, booked his spot in the next round by defeating Zeeshan Malik of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa in a three-set battle at the PAF-Hashim Khan Squash Complex on Thursday. The unseeded won with scores of 11-6, 11-8 and 11-8. In the other matches, Owais Ahmad of K-P overcame a difficult opponent in Danish Khan of K-P in a four-set battle after a marathon 39 minutes in the court. Ahmad secured the hard-fought victory with scores of 18-16, 9-11, 12-10 and 11-9.  Muhammad Junaid of K-P romped to victory against Nouman Khan of K-P in straight sets.
