PESHAWAR: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested on Thursday a man in Peshawar accused of sharing photoshopped, explicit photos of minors.

According to Assistant Director FIA's Cyber Crime Wing Haseeb Javed, the bureau initiated an inquiry after receiving a complaint against Muhammad Mustafa, a resident of Talash, Lower Dir.

The man is accused of uploading explicit images of children on social media and harassing the victims.

He was taken into custody for interrogation, and an FIR registered at FIA Cyber Crime Circle Peshawar.

Meanwhile, in another raid, the cyber crime wing arrested an accused for harassing a woman on Facebook through a fake account.

According to FIA officials, the accused was identified as Fahad Manzoor, resident of Gulbahar in Peshawar.

Officials said following a complaint, the suspect was traced with the help of a landline number linked to his internet connection.

Javed said the cyber crime wing had so far received a total of 200 complaints this year of which over 170 were under process.
