Deepika Padukone, Kendall Jenner share special moment in NYC

Published: June 19, 2019

Considering how vocal she’s been about her fight with depression, it wasn’t a surprise to spot Deepika Padukone at the fundraising dinner for the Youth Anxiety Center in New York with Hollywood star Kendall Jenner. Pictures of the two ladies striking a pose went viral on social media.

The founder of the ‘Live, Laugh, Love’ foundation was clad in a classic black suit by Alberta Ferretti for the occasion. The fringe work at the back of the blazer and the tape detailing on the trousers added oomph to her look. She finished it off with diamond earrings and high-heels, which were barely visible due to her long flared lowers. Her hair was done in loose bouncy waves.

Deepika, on her Instagram page, shared a black and white photograph of herself and said her experience with mental illness has taught her a lot. “Mental illness has presented society with a very tough challenge. But my experience with the illness has taught me so much – to be patient for one but most importantly that there is ‘Hope’!” she wrote alongside the image.

Kendall, on the other hand sported an orange bodycon dress. The casual chic number fit her like a glove! She opted for a contrasting white bag that hung over her shoulder. Strappy heels by ace designer Amina Muaddi completed her look.
