Kareena Kapoor, Aamir Khan to reportedly star in 'Forrest Gump' Bollywood remake

“Anushka is constantly looking for quality scripts and it seems like she has found a brilliant one that will see her play the role of a woman police officer,” says an unnamed source to DNA, adding, “This is the first time she will be seen in this avatar as she will don the khaki. The project is extremely close to her heart.”

The actor has been seen in some big Bollywood numbers as of late.   Sui Dhaaga: Made In IndiaSanju and Pari are all films that Anushka has starred in last year.  Not only that, the star was featured by Forbes Asia in their 30 Under 30 list of 2018 and has a Filmfare award to her name.

So it comes as no surprise that Anushka has chosen this project as, according to sources, she "has always backed projects that are strong on content."

The role will be challenging and will require her to undergo intense preparation before filming.  Of course, we can expect Anushka to also devote a lot of time getting into the feel of her character.

As for what film this is and directed by whom, only time will tell.
