Belt test to be held before trials

PESHAWAR: Trials to select the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Wushu team for the upcoming National Championship will be held on June 25 at the Qayyum Sports Complex.

K-P Wushu Association Secretary Najamullah Safi told the media on Thursday that before the trials, they will hold a belt test. The test will be held on Saturday, June 15 at the same venue where payers from across the province are expected to will participate.

To select a strong team to represent the province, he said that players from Peshawar, Malakand, Kohat, Bannu, Mardan, Hazara and Dera Ismail Khan will take part in the trials.

He said that a camp in this regards is already in progress and continued during the holy month of Ramazan as well. The trails, though, will also see players who did not or could not participate in the camp, compete for a spot on the provincial team.
