LAHORE: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) demolished construction in eight housing colonies on Wednesday.

LDA’s Directorate of Estate Management Private Housing Schemes in its drive against encroachment and illegal construction took action against eight private housing societies.

LDA officials, who were conducting operation under the supervision of LDA Director Estate Management Bushra Naseer, removed all illegal structures, destroyed publicity banners, flexes and billboards from the sites.

LDA Director General Muhammad Usman Muazzam has directed authority’s officials to further increase the pace of action against illegal housing societies. He said the authority would leave no stone unturned to safeguard the citizens’ interest.
