Justice Gulzar takes oath as acting CJP
The ceremony took place at Supreme Court Karachi registry on Saturday
KARACHI:
Justice Gulzar Ahmed took oath as the acting Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP). The ceremony took place at Supreme Court Karachi registry on Saturday. Justice Mushir Alam administered the oath with Justice Maqbool Baqar, Justice Munib Akhtar and Justice Sajjad Ali Shah in attendance. CJP Justice Asif Saeed Khosa is currently on a visit to Britain. He will be the first CJP to have the honour of addressing the Cambridge University Union on June 9. Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi, Justice Fahim Ahmed Siddiqui, Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar, Justice Abdul Malik Gaddi and others from the Sindh High Court (SHC) including SHC Bar President Muhammad Aqil, Karachi Bar President Naeem Qureshi, lawyers from the Supreme Court Bar Association, Sindh Bar Council and other bars were also present on the occasion.
