LAHORE: The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has approved two development schemes of roads and irrigation sectors with an estimated cost of Rs7.227 billion. These schemes were approved in a special meeting of the PDWP of current fiscal year 2018-19, presided over Planning & Development Board Chairman Habibur Rehman Gilani. P&D Secretary Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, all members of the P&D, provincial secretaries of departments concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments also attended the meeting. The approved development schemes included construction of a bridge over River Chenab at Shahbaz Pur to connect district Gujrat to Sialkot (revised) at a cost of Rs7.017 billion and restoration of Jalala Flood Protection Bund Narowal with a cost of Rs210.558 million.
