Filmmaker Vikas Bahl is being reinstated as the director of upcoming film Super 30 after an internal complaints committee wiped the slate of a sexual harassment case, filed against him by a former employee.

The upcoming Bollywood film starring Krrish star Hrithik Roshan had been in disarray after a former employee alleged that Vikas "sexually assaulted her," Mumbai Mirror reported.

Group CEO of Reliance Entertainment Shibasish Sarkar, which is co-producing Super 30 with Phantom Films, divulged in the matter, saying, "Yes, it is true that the internal complaints committee report has exonerated Vikas Bahl. With the committee clearing Vikas, we don't have a choice but to reinstate his credit as director of Super 30." Vikas formed Phantom Films with Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane and Madhu Mantena.

Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane, who released statements on social media condemning Vikas Bahl's alleged misconduct, disbanded Phantom Film last year.

In addition, Vikramaditya Motwane shared a statement on his Twitter page echoing much of what Anurag Kashyap said and added that "it will never happen again on my watch."

Soon after, Vikas retaliated on Twitter saying he will sue his former partners for defamation unless they apologise for their tweets, which he believed came out as a result of "professional jealousy."

Hrithik also shared his feelings on the matter, tweeting that a 'harsh stand' will be taken against the director.

But it's not the first time the director has been accused of inappropraite behaviour. Queen star Kangana Ranaut also revealed that Vikas allegedly touched her inappropriately during filming. In addition, three other actresses accused him of sexual misconduct while actors Arjun Kapoor and Imran Khan said that the film industry knew of his alleged predatory behaviour.

Super 30 is set to hit cinemas next week and is the last film to release under the Phantom Films banner where Vikas will be credited as director in the trailer of the film.
