Eid prayers will be offered in 1,222 mosques and eidgahs where 3,512 police officials, 1,786 special police officials and 687 volunteers will be deployed. The RPO also issued directions to all three District Police Officers (DPO) of Bahawalpur division to not let any car, motorcycle or rickshaw enter bazaars on Chand Raat.
He also initiated the crackdown against aerial firing and one wheeling. Security duties will be performed on Chand Raat throughout the region by 62 inspectors, 221 sub inspectors, 334 assistant sub inspectors, 226 head constables, 2,170 constables and 568 volunteers. There will be 1,222 gatherings for the Eid prayers that have been divided into three categories from which 34 have been put in category A, 108 in Category B and 1,080 in Category C.
Technical weeping of mosques, Eidgahs and Imambargahs will be conducted through special branch. Apart from this, police officials will be deployed in civil uniform in all public places, bazaars, open markets and shopping centers.
The RPO issued directions that DPOs in their respective districts patrolling should remain effective 24 hours throughout the area and parking should be established at least 200 meters away from mosques and Eidgahs. He appealed to the people to consider the national situation and cooperate with law enforcement institutions and observe their national duty so that we can root out terrorism, crimes and criminals from our country together.
Congregations of Eidul Fitr will be held on more than 841 places in Layyah, Bhakkar and Mianwali. Rescue and police officials have set the security plan with the deployment of 570 rescuers, over 2,500 police officers, volunteers and elite force officers to perform duties.
Speaking to The Express Tribune, DPO Bhakkar Shaista Nadeem said that the security plan has been set to make Chand Raat and Eidul Fitr peaceful for everyone.
Big and small congregations will be organised at 334 places across the district in which 52 places declared sensitive have been kept in “A” category.
