Families of martyred cops to receive cheques in Punjab

Including five martyrs of Data Darbar Blast and 21 from different districts of the province

LAHORE: The provincial government approved shaheed package for the families of 26 police martyrs, including five martyrs of Data Darbar blast.

Inspector General of Police Punjab, Captain (retd) Arif Nawaz Khan directed CCPO Lahore all RPOs CPOs and DPOs to deliver cheques to the families by Monday (tomorrow).

These martyrs include five martyrs of Data Darbar Blast and 21 from different districts of the province,  who scarified their lives in the line of duty.

The approval of shaheed package was pending for the past one year. Khan directed the officers to provide relief to the families of martyrs on a priority basis. He also issued directions to district police officers to send special gifts to the families of martyrs before Eidul Fitr.
