ASF seizes drugs from passenger

ISLAMABAD: Airport Security Force (ASF) foiled efforts to smuggle drugs at Islamabad International Airport (IIA). During the briefing of a flight to Jeddah, the luggage of a passenger Shahzaib, who was a native of Peshawar, was checked while the forces recovered some 1.5 kilogramme of methamphetamines. The suspect was arrested and handed over to the Anti- Narcotic Force (ANF) for further investigation. Meanwhile Islamabad police have arrested nine suspects from various areas of the city and recovered narcotics, stolen bike and weapons from them, a police spokesman said.
