The opening batsman, who has played 76 One Day Internationals and 20 against India, has an astonishing 51-run average against the arch-rivals.
Butt, who also boasts of five centuries against India, said, “When both teams face each other, the approach is different and each player wants to perform at the optimum level.”
“We are training hard for the tournament and our morale is high,” added the left-hander at the inauguration of a summer camp. Butt also said that he hoped the Pakistan Cricket Board will give him time to prove his skills as vice-captain of the team.
