Teenage son kills father after argument in Kot Lakhpat

LAHORE: A teenager killed his father over an argument about a mobile phone in Kot Lakhpat on Thursday.

Reportedly, Sajid had taken his father’s phone and had handed it over to his friend. His father, identified as Khalid Mehmood, was infuriated Sajid had done so. The two exchanged heated words over the matter.

Khalid was enraged and beat his son up, before retiring to the rooftop for the night. However, at Sehri time, Sajid attacked his father with a heavy and blunt object. The victim received serious injuries and was shifted to a hospital. However, he was unable to survive.

Police registered a case against the suspect on the complaint of his grandfather and have arrested him. Further investigations are currently underway.

Separately, a teenager committed suicide after his father reprimanded him. The victim was identified as 18-year-old Taimoor. Police are currently investigating the case. In another incident, a man shot dead his cousin over a personal dispute in Harbancepura. The suspect Awais had a heated exchange with his cousin Sajjad. However, the issue was resolved after elders intervened in the matter.

On Thursday, Awais visited Sajjad at his home where the two got into another argument. Awais opened fire on the victim who sustained bullet injuries. He was shifted to a nearby hospital but was unable to survive.

Meanwhile, the suspect managed to flee the scene of the crime. An FIR has been registered and police are currently investigating the matter further.

Meanwhile, a three-year-old girl who was abducted by unidentified assailants in Shadbagh was also recovered on Thursday. The victim was handed over to the family in the presence of DIG Operations Ashfaq Ahmed Khan and CM’s Spokesperson Shahbaz Gill.

Reportedly, the child and her four-year-old brother were playing in the street when unidentified assailants on a motorcycle kidnapped her. However, the kidnappers did not abduct her brother.
