KASUR:
Three people were awarded death sentences by a court on Monday in a murder case. Kasur Additional District & Sessions Judge Syed Khursheed Anwer Rizvi announced the verdict in the murder case of the Khuddian Police Station. The court acquitted three others on the benefit of doubt. According to the prosecution, the victim Hassan Nasir had married Azra Bibi in 201O but the couple quarreled very often. The wife and her five accomplices kidnapped her husband and strangled him. The man’s body was thrown in a nearby village Nolautar. The police initially registered a murder case against the six accused. The court sentenced Azra Bibi, Abdur Razzaq and Mohammad Ramzan to death, while Khalil Ahmed, Mohammad Sarwer and Yahya Nasir were acquitted on benefit of doubt.
