It's been a busy past few days in the fashion world, with some of our favourite Bollywood actors serving some stunning looks at French Riveria for Cannes 2019.

Deepika Padukone is no exception and for two days the star had everyone captivated with her unconventional appearances. Needless to say, many are impressed with how open she is to experiment and try different looks, Pinkvilla reported.

But many are wondering why DP didn't take her husband Ranveer Singh along for Cannes this year.

Just like Deepika, husband Ranveer Singh also has a forward and unique taste in fashion.  The Gully Boy actor adds his own spark and quirkiness with bright colours and funky outfits.  Seemingly unaffected by trends, the star manages to grab attention with his dressing sense at events or promotions.

When Deepika was asked why she didn't bring Ranveer along to Cannes, she said he would be a better fit at the costume-based theme of Met Gala.

In fact, the Padmaavat star amuses fans by saying she will top his style at Cannes!

"You either come here with a film or you slay on the red carpet," Deepika said when asked about Cannes.

The fashionista returned to Mumbai recently after her show-stopping looks at the festival and will resume shooting upcoming film Chhapaak, where she will be getting back into her character of an acid attack survivor.

And despite her witty remarks, we are sure many would have loved to see the duo walk hand in hand at Festival de Cannes.
