Domestic violence case verdict reserved

A flowing gutter became the reason for the domestic violence

ISLAMABAD: Justice Mohsin AKhtar Kayani of Islamabad High Court (IHC) has reserved the verdict of the  case between step brother and sister siblings regarding domestic violence following argument over an overflowing gutter. A resident of Barakahu, Kanwal Shehram, filed an application, making IG and DIG Islamabad respondents, that she had filed a complaint against her step brother six months ago in Barakahu police station of which a first information report (FIR) has not been registered so far.  She said that her step brother had attacked her, slapped and punched her and also dragged her on the ground with her hair, but police did not register a case against him Shehram said her step brother continues to give her life threats. She told the court that her numerous appeals to PM and IG Islamabad have gone unheard.
