"The regional tension and war are not in anyone's interest," said Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal during the weekly briefing.
The FO spokesperson said the tension between the US and Iran is concerning as "a minor mistake can become a cause of a bigger loss".
"Both the countries should resolve the issue through dialogue," he added.
The FO spokesperson also stated that United Arab Emirates will be releasing 3500 Pakistani prisoners held in several jails in the gulf country.

Referring to India, the FO spokesperson said that India's state terrorism in occupied Kashmir continues, even during Ramazan. "Lives of the people in the occupied region have become miserable in the name of search operations," he added.
He urged the United Nations to stop India from oppressing the Kashmiris and also demanded the release of the Hurriyat leaders. "
"Pakistan is continuously raising the Samjhota matter on all forums and we have also registered a strong protest with India over the matter," the FO spokesperson added.
Prime Minister Imran Khan is likely to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Heads of Region Meeting on June 13 and June 14. Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi will attend the meeting foreign ministers of at SCO in Chongqing.
