New LG system to solve people’s problems: minister

Mian Aslam Iqbal says the government has introduced a system which will transfer powers to people

LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Industries and Trade Mian Aslam Iqbal said that the new local government system would solve people's problems as the PTI government introduced such a local government system which would, in real sense, transfer powers to people.

He was talking to various delegations at his Camp Office on Tuesday. He said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf led government was taking all measures for raising the lifestyle of common man.

The minister said that the government was fighting against poverty, ignorance, unemployment and price-hike at every front. He added that 309 Ramzan bazaars were providing relief to people and after 20th Ramzan, these bazaars would be converted into Eid Ramzan bazaars where Eid items would also be available at subsidised rates.
