K-P allocates Rs1.5b for sports facilities in merged districts
Projects include construction and repair of stadiums, indoor gyms

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government has allocated around Rs1.5 billion for upgrading, rehabilitating and constructing sports facilities in the merged districts.
The government has initiated scores of projects to provide sports facilities to the traumatize youth who had suffered badly due to insurgency and militancy in almost all 25 tehsils of the merged districts.
For the development of sports infrastructure, Senior Minister for Sports, Tourism, Culture, and Youth Affairs Muhammad Atif Khan while talking to media on Monday and added that
Projects comprising of stadiums, facilities of indoor gymnasium, upgrading and rehabilitating of existing facilities in all seven districts comprising Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Orakzai, Khurram, North Waziristan and South Waziristan and six sub-division including sub-Peshawar, sub-Kohat, sub-Bannu, Lakki Marwat,Tank and Sera Ismail Khan has been approved.
There will be 22 new schemes including five facilities in South Waziristan, three in the North Waziristan, three in Kurram, one in Khyber, four in Mohmand, three in Orakzai and four in Bajaur besides 12 facilities would be upgraded and six would be rehabilitated.
