FAISALABAD:

Textile factory owners have announced a protest campaign against two days of gas loadshedding in a week.

A written statement regarding the decision to protest has been sent to the government.

Factory owners said that the textile industry is already in the midst of crises.

Industrialists complained that the government had assured them of gas suspension for one day a week till May. But instead of giving relief to them after May, the government is subjecting industrialists to further hardship.

In their statement to the government, factory owners said that if the decision to increase loadshedding is not retracted, they will be left with no choice but to protest.

Faisalabad authorities called an emergency meeting on the government's directions after the demonstration by industrialists.

Factory owners were urged to call off the strike.
