ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Friday said that the innocent children of Sindh province were paying the price of the Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) poor governance with their lives.

In a tweet, the SAPM said that PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari should stop raising hue and cry in Islamabad and go to Sindh to meet the families of the children of the province who were dying of starvation and malnutrition due to the inefficiency of the PPP government.

Political leaders slam Sindh governor for his divisive statements

She said that the PPP’s effort to deflect attention from the problems of Sindh would not be successful as their corruption was exposed. She added that the nation was united under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, calling him the last hope of the people of Pakistan.

The government and the opposition have been engaged in a slugfest in the National Assembly, accusing each other of incompetence.

Referring to the opposition, Awan said those creating the ruckus were the ones responsible for pushing the country towards bankruptcy and forcing the government to seek bailout package from the International Monetary Fund.
