Nazir Ahmad, the father of one of the victims and a resident of Ferozpur Road, registered a complaint with the FIA.  Ahmad claimed to be a financially-disadvantaged man and said he was contacted by some agents who claimed to represent foreigners. He said one agent lured him in by stating that a foreigner wanted to marry a Pakistani girl as aimed to permanently settle in the country.

The father was told that he would accompany his daughter abroad for a brief period of time. He was told by the agents that the girl would be allowed to work there. Ahmad agreed and his daughter was married to a Chinese national.

He said the husband faked his name as Musa to them. Finally, his daughter travelled to Islamabad and left for China after three or four days. However, sometime later, the girl called her father to reveal that the family had been duped.

She said the Chinese man had not converted to Islam in practice and was living like a non-Muslim. The girl complained that the husband was forcing her into prostitution and physically assaulted her if she refused. She added that it was a practice of the suspects to lure girls and their families into this trap.

When Nazir contacted the agents, he was told to contact their boss Wei Linping in Islamabad. When he contacted Linping, the latter said that the agents had received Rs2 million and he would have to pay this amount if he wanted his daughter back.

The father was warned that the girl would be forced into prostitution or illegal organ transplantation if he did not pay the amount. After the Pakistani High Commission intervened, the victim was recovered. In her appearance before the FIA, she revealed that the den of this gang was located in Johar Town.
