Pindi police round up 502 offenders
On the directives of Rawalpindi City Police Officer Abbas Ahsan, squads managed to apprehend 502 POs during raids
RAWALPINDI:
The Rawalpindi police Wednesday claimed to have arrested during April 502 proclaimed offenders (POs), including 75 men who were wanted for various criminal acts. A police spokesperson said that on the directive of City Police Officer Rawalpindi Abbas Ahsan, squads raided different areas and managed to apprehend 502 POs including 45 suspects who were wanted in murder cases and 30 who were wanted in dacoity and robbery cases. He informed that the Rawalpindi police also rounded up eight POs over the last 24 hours. The Jatli police held Samar Iqbal and Asif, two POs while the Civil Lines police nabbed Tariq. Similarly, the Saddar- Wah police rounded up Qamar Zaman, Toor Gul, Muhammad Talha, Adam and a female namely Hajra Bibi wanted in different cases. The operation would continue to arrest POs and court absconders, he added.
