Arrangements for Sachal Sarmast’s Urs

KARACHI: Arrangements for the annual Urs of Sufi Saint Sachal Sarmast, starting on 14th of Ramadan, were finalised during a meeting chaired by Khairpur Deputy Commissioner Naeem Ahmed Sindhu on Wednesday. During the meeting, it was pointed out that the hall constructed for Mehfil-e-Sama near the shrine lacked many technical facilities, which Sindhu said will be provided. The celebrations will include events such as Mehfil-e-Sama, a national literacy conference at Daraza Sharif auditorium, Mushaira, Raga concert, Sugharan Ji Katchery, an awards ceremony and traditional Sindhi games.
