Punjab CM reviews Ramazan arrangements in RYK

Suspends two officials on account of poor cleanliness arrangements and dereliction of duties

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar visited far-flung areas in Rahim Yar Khan (RYK) to inspect Ramazan bazars, hospitals, and wheat procurement centres.

He also suspended RYK Chief Officer Corporation Qasim Manzoor and District Civil Defense Officer Latif Gull on account of poor cleanliness arrangements and dereliction of duties. He also announced the provision of funds for the construction of a flyover in RYK. Resources will be provided for the establishment of a cadet college, he added.

Buzdar inspected Ramazan arrangements at border tehsil of Sadiqabad and Askari Park. “I am personally visiting Ramazan bazars to review the ground realities and the government has saved a sum of Rs2 billion by avoiding exhibitory steps,” he said. He added that strict implementation of quality and fixed rates of eatable items will be ensured in all markets.



He visited the emergency ward of THQ hospital and inquired about patients’ health. He explained that the government is providing the best healthcare facilities and that doctors should adopt a kind attitude towards patients for their welfare.

Visiting the wheat procurement centre at Chak 5/NP in Sadiqabad, the chief minister inquired about farmers and reiterated that farmers will be given a full reward of their hard work. He said that he was personally monitoring the situation and farmers would not be exploited.

Earlier, the CM inaugurated the mobile police facilitation centre in RYK where he said that the scope of the centre will be expanded to other districts.
