Anti-encroachment drive in Sinyarri 

During the operation, several structures were razed and acres of state land was retrieved from illegal occupants

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Islamabad Capital Administration (ICT), in connection with the ongoing anti-encroachment drive, conducted a massive operation in Sinyarri village. During the operation, several illegal structures were razed and several acres of state land was retrieved from illegal occupants. CDA’s Enforcement Directorate, ICT administration, Islamabad Police and concerned departments of CDA participated in the operation. Heavy machinery was utilized to demolish illegal buildings. During this operation, 12 houses, comprising 38 rooms, 12 boundary walls, 18 washrooms and 12 kitchens built illegally were demolished. During the operation, few elements tried to halt the operation, however, officers of ICT Administration tackled the situation and the first phase of the operation was completed.
