Three people drowned when a boat capsized near the Thatta stretch of the River Indus on Sunday.

30 others were rescued.

A search and rescue operation is underway to find the remaining two people who were on board the ship.

The boat carrying 35 locals of a nearby village capsized near the Ghora Bari village, some 42km from Thatta.

A rescue operation has been initiated and 30 people have been moved ashore.

However, two people are missing and rescue efforts are still underway to locate them.

Locals put the cause of the incident to boarding more people than the boat could safely manage.
