Cotton Confectioners: 4 fake seed cake factories sealed off

They were using the heaps of cotton, thread, cloth waste, poultry feed, chemicals and colour for other food products.

FAISALABAD: A special raiding team has unearthed four fake cotton seed cake factories in different parts of the district. On Saturday morning, several raiding teams headed by Assistant Commissioner Sammundri Aamir Raza raided different cotton seed factories located on Tandlianwala Road. Four of the factories were sealed after the workers found four involved in the preparation of fake cotton seed cakes. These factories were not using cotton seeds to prepare feed for animals but were using the heaps of cotton, thread, cloth waste, poultry feed, chemicals and colour for other food products. The owners of the factories reportedly fled to avoid arrests. Separate cases have been registered against the men and samples of the products have been sent to laboratories for analysis.
