Challan submitted in Nashwa case

KARACHI: The investigation officer submitted the case challan in Nashwa case of Thursday which included sections of murder against staff members of Darul Sehat Hospital (DSH). Earlier, the police had applied the charges of unintentional murder. However, inclusion of sections of murder is a major development in the case.

The challan will be approved after its examination. The police have nominated more than 20 people as accused. Atif, Ahmar Shehzad, Waleedur Rehman, Moiz and Sobia are in jail. Two accused doctors including Dr Attia are on bail. According to the police, more than 10 accused are on the run.

On the other hand, owners of DSH, Amir Chishti and Farhan, approached the court seeking bail before arrest. Both of the accused got interim bails against the surety of Rs300,000 each. The court ordered them to appear before the trial court in two days.
