ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb has said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has confessed to tampering gas bills to rob the masses while calling upon the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to hold those involved accountable and recover public money.

The former information minister was commenting on Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan’ statement that the government tampered with gas bills, increasing the cost per unit by 145 per cent.

“The worst part about this nationwide theft is that the dacoits were awarded other ministries instead of being punished for their criminal acts,” she said urging NAB and FIA to investigate and apprehend those responsible.

She further said the current government is slathered in corruption and is mooching billions of rupees off the hardworking Pakistanis in exaggerated gas bills. She said the entire false propaganda of PTI against PML-N leaders is a carefully thought out strategy to distract attention away from their own incompetence and corruption.

“PML-N leaders made Pakistan a nuclear power, solved the country's energy crisis, built crucial motorways and gave the people employment through successful and economical mega projects while saving billions for the national treasure,” she highlighted.
