As multiple nominees have walked away from their Lux Style Awards nominations, numerous celebs have shared their stance on the ongoing controversy. Model Iman Ali becomes the latest celebrity to do so.

While personalities have supported those dropping out of the LSAs, others were critical of their decision. The model-cum-actor is one of the latter. "Our sense of entitlement to quickly judge anyone and jump to conclusions is worrisome, specially in this age of social media," Ali said on Instagram.

The Khuda Kay Liye star continued, "A platform that has made it too easy for some to become a part of a controversy or join a bandwagon and become famous overnight; potentially ruining someone's life or body of work in minutes."

She added, "Fame and respect should be earned with hard work in time, not by childish walk outs and social media posts playing judge, jury and executioner."

It comes as no surprised that Ali's comments weren't appreciated by model Eman Suleman, who was the first celebrity to reject her nomination for Best Emerging Talent at the LSAs.

Suleman commented on Ali's post but apparently, it was deleted. "Why did you delete our comment," Suleman questioned. "Like I said before, we’ve worked very hard and it saddens me to see that you denigrate our efforts."

She further questioned, "What about the victims who have suffered at the hands of perpetrators in this industry, and other work places? They never got the chance to work hard and achieve what they could. Instead, the victims ostracised."

Ali responded to this with, "Let’s not confuse the issue."

The LSAs on Wednesday issued a public statement addressing the matter. The statement stresses that the nominations of all the categories were based on merit, regardless of any ongoing case.
