The director, who bagged an LSA award for his film Moor in 2016, made an announcement on social media that he will be "putting his trophy on the road outside his gate as it is useless for him."

Taking to Twitter, Jami wrote, "Tomorrow, we will be putting my Lux award outside my gate on the road. Recycle it please. It is useless. We stand with our women and their word - not their soaps."

Now, the Operation 021 director has shared a few images of his award being left on the road as a sign of protest against the LSAs.

Earlier, folk band The Sketches and Meesha Shafi gave up their LSA nominations after releasing public statements.
