SHCC seals private hospital in DHA

KARACHI: Sindh Health Care Commission sealed Arif Defence Medical Centre on Tuesday. This is the first instance of the authority sealing a medical facility since its inception. The private hospital located in Defence Housing Authority Phase VI, was sealed as it was operational even while being under construction, said the SHCC.

According to Dr Amir of the SHCC, the commission had received a complaint against the hospital on the basis of which it began its investigation.

Speaking to The Express Tribune, Dr Amir said that the hospital was conducting medical procedures and operations despite lacking infrastructure, an anaesthesia specialist and other essential staff.
