‘Pakistan Post on way to regain past glory’

Ministry of Communications and Postal Services Federal Secretary Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui visited post offices in Karachi

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Post was on way to regain its lost glory in this digital world, said Ministry of Communications and Postal Services Federal Secretary Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui.

According to a statement, Siddiqui was doing rounds of post offices in compliance of the directions of the Federal Minister Communications and Postal Services Murad Saeed.

During his special official visit to the different post offices in Karachi on Friday examined the overall working of postal operation in order to ensure timely delivery of mail and parcels.

He also checked and examined the staff attendance and discipline in person. In order to ensure timely sorting and transmission of mail and parcels, he also visited the office of Mail Sorting and Transportation and meanwhile personally contacted the concerned higher Railway authorities to strengthen the collaboration between Pakistan Post and Pakistan Railways in the transmission of mail.

During his special visit, he stated that due to the revolutionary steps taken by the Minister for Communications and Postal Services Murad Saeed, Pakistan Post is on the way to regain its lost glory and his efforts are becoming fruitful to make this premium national organisation a vibrant, self-sustaining and commercially viable entity in line with the demands and challenges of the digital world of today.
