K-P governor urges graduating dentists to hold on to humanity

Asks young professionals to contribute to national development

PESHAWAR: Governor Shah Farman has said people associated with medical field should make service to ailing humanity their core aim and contribute to development of the nation and the country.

He expressed these views at the 10th convocation of Khyber College of Dentistry (KCD) here in Peshawar on Friday.

The governor distributed degree certificates among 154 graduate doctors and awarded gold medals to 56 students in a ceremony.

Among the gold medallists was a record breaker, Toba Seddeqi, who got 13 gold medals in the 2017-18 academic session.

Talking to The Express Tribune Toba Seddeqi said that she was always studied hard to achieve goals in life. “It is not only my achievement but my parent’s prayers and teachers efforts too.”

Her mother said she felt proud that she has a daughter like Toba.

Another student Syeda Ushna Aaiz got 10 gold medals in 2018 session of KDC. She said she wants to work for the underprivileged and vulnerable sections of the society.

It merits mentioning that the convocation timing was 9:30am but the Governor reached there at 12:00 noon and was in hurry to receive PrM Imran.
