
The incident took place at Bommanahalli area in Karnataka’s Bengaluru. The video of the incident shows that the individuals described as ‘BJP workers’ allegedly intimidating the woman to take off the flag.
There is no confirmation whether an action has been initiated on the part of the Karnataka police against the men.
Media reports suggest that the men were campaigning for Tejasvi Surya, a BJP candidate in Bengaluru.

Commenting on the video, Tanveer Ahmed, the national spokesperson of the Janata Dal (Secular), alleged that the man who is seen in the video is from BJP.
Describing the act of the as 'shameful', Ahmed said: “This is not a Pakistani flag. Every green flag is not a Pakistani flag. Even the Indian flag has a portion of the green. These illiterate jokers need to understand what they are really doing.”
“They are creating communal unrest during elections. That is exactly what they want to do.”
