Minister for Religious Affairs Noor-ul-Haq Qadri was also present during the meeting.
Imam-e-Kaba said relationships of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia were not merely diplomatic but based on faith. He said the security of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia is interlined and both countries could not remain cut off from each other.
He added Pakistan was Saudi Arabia’s strength and hearts of two nations beat together. He stressed the need for frequent exchanges between the two countries in various fields.
During the day, Imam-e-Kaaba also called on President Arif Alvi, National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, and Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
President Alvi said Pakistan greatly values its relations with Saudi Arabia. He said both the countries have shared bonds of history, culture, traditions, faith and values. He also welcomed the Kingdom’s decision of increase in Hajj quota for Pakistan to 200,000 and inclusion of Pakistan in its Road to Makkah initiative.
