ATTOCK: Four people were killed in a road accident when a speedy car collided with a passenger van near Khand Chowk on Monday.

According to the rescue sources, a passenger van was coming from Kohat to Rawalpindi and collided with a speedy car coming from opposite side.

Local people informed police and Rescue 1122 about the incident. The collision killed three passengers in the car and one van passenger in the van, whereas five others sustained serious injuries. The car passengers were all relatives, identified through their CNICs as Syed Nusrat Hussain, Syed Ibrahim Shah and Syed Ali Shah.

The deceased passenger of van has yet to be identified. Separately, two young men drowned in a stream of Athal village in the remits of Bhara Kahu police station. Police said the deceased were identfied as Bilal, 26, and Muhammad Shabbir, 18, residents of Hatian Balan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
