20 outlaws arrested in Naseerabad

As part of a crackdown being carried out in the province

QUETTA: Naseerabad police have nabbed as many as 20 outlaws from across the district as part of a crackdown being carried out in the province.

Addressing a press conference on Friday, Naseerabad ASP Fahad Khosa said the apprehended outlaws included proclaimed offenders involved in cases of murder and attempted murder.

The police also seized drugs and weapons from their possession, he said, stressing that ensuring a peaceful society clean of drugs and crimes was the aim of the department.

Cases have been lodged against the criminals, while further investigations are under way. “With the joint efforts of the people and the media, we have curbed crimes by 80 per cent in the district,” Khosa said.

He vowed that no lenience would be shown regarding protection of the lives and property of the people. Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) official Muhammad Anwar Abro, City Police Station SHO Ahsanul Haq and other officers were also present on the occasion.
