Terror reared its ugly head once again in Balochistan where 21 people were martyred and dozens of others injured on Friday in two separate attacks that took place in the provincial capital and the border town of Chaman respectively.

Politicians, famous personalities and celebs took to social media to condemn the barbaric attacks.

Mahira Khan

"Quetta bleeds again and so do our hearts. Praying for those we lost and their families."

Imran Abbas

"My heart bleeds for the innocent people in Baluchistan. At least 20 people were killed and 48 injured in a blast believed to be targeting members of the Hazara community in Quetta's Hazarganji market on Friday morning."

Mawra Hocane

"Tearful.. shaken.. oh my Quetta. My heartfelt condolences to everyone who has lost a loved one today and sending warmth to each one of you who has survived and is traumatised. Oh Allah! Please make these acts of cowardice and inhumanity stop. Please."

Shaan Shahid

Hareem Farooq

"This is just heartbreaking, my prayers for everyone in Quetta."

Hamza Ali Abbasi

"One of the last fronts of this terrible war we have been fighting with those who only worship power and human life has no value for them. Another plot to harm Pakistan and divide us along religious and ethnic lines. May Allah grant jannah to the shaheeds."

In Quetta, a suicide blast ripped through vegetable stalls at the city’s Hazar Ganji Market early in the morning, martyring at least 20 people — including eight members of the Hazara community and a soldier of the paramilitary Frontier Corps (FC) – and injuring 48 others.

Hours after explosion at a vegetable market, one person was martyred and at least 11 others including two FC personnel injured in a similar incident in Chaman on Friday.

According to police officials, the powerful explosion took place at Palestine Chowk — Mall Road-Trench Road junction — of the Balochistan’s border town.

A 22-year-old man was martyred while 11 others including two FC personnel sustained injuries in the explosion, SHO Gul Muhammad confirmed. The explosion occurred when a FC vehicle was passing through the area, he added.
